WallpaperPlus is a wallpaper customization tool for iPhone and iPad [Jailbreak Tweak]

If we can divert a minute of your attention away from the news that Apple has sent out invites for its September 9th event and is building an expansion on the Flint Center to maximize the number of attendees, an interesting new jailbreak tweak called WallpaperPlus has been released as a wallpaper customization tool for iPhone and iPad. WallpaperPlus is laden with wallpaper-related features, including support for default and additional wallpapers stored in the directory /var/mobile/documents/WallpaperPlus/ on jailbroken devices. It also allows you to edit these wallpapers with several modification tools, such as filters, adjustments, effects, blur, focus and rotation. When you have finished modifying your wallpaper, you can apply it to the Home screen, Lock screen or both with one simple tap. The tweak uses the stock Save as Wallpaper functionality from the default share sheet that pops up on iPhone and iPad. The tweak adds an icon to the Home screen that leads to a few options that can be configured through the Settings app, including a main toggle switch to enable the tweak and a toggle switch for enabling or disabling parallax mode. Parallax is the animation that appears when you tilt your device in various directions. If you are looking for more control and customization of your wallpapers on iPhone or iPad, this tweak might be worth giving a spin. The tweak supports three languages: English, French and Arabic. According to the tweak's developer Mokhlas Hussein, the package has not been tested on the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S. WallpaperPlus is free on Cydia in the default BigBoss repo. Continue reading
