Apple supply chain ramps up production of components for thinner and faster iPad Air 2

According to Taiwanese blog DigiTimes, which has a hit-and-miss track record as it relates to reporting on Apple's upcoming product plans, supply chain partners for the Cupertino-based company are reportedly ramping up production of components to be used in the next-generation iPad Air 2. The upcoming tablet is expected to be thinner and lighter than the current iPad Air, retaining a 9.7-inch screen and improved Touch ID fingerprint scanner.  Continue reading
